Synopsis of a Battle is een gechoreografeerde tragedie, samengesteld uit dans, licht, muziek, poëzie en mythologie.

Voor de muzikale dramaturgie werkt Guilloteau samen met Alain Franco. Franco mixt pianospel met opgenomen werken. Twee dansers, Claire Croizé en Guilloteau, zweven door de ruimte, muziek en tekst. Twee is het minimum om in relatie te zijn met de andere en het maximum om geen groep te vormen. Ze gaan in dialoog, bewegen samen, gescheiden, tegenover elkaar. Ze roepen een verhaal op zonder er een te worden. De woorden vertellen geen concrete historie, maar vormen een spoor dat ruimte laat voor verbeelding. De energie van de tekst is belangrijk, niet de concrete geschiedenis.

Na zijn afstuderen aan P.A.R.T.S. werkte Etienne Guilloteau onder meer samen met Rosas, Charlotte Vanden Eynde en Marc Vanrunxt. In 2008 richtte hij met Nada Gambier en Claire Croizé Action Scénique op. De laatste jaren staat de dramaturgische relatie tussen dans, muziek en licht centraal in zijn werk.

Once again Guilloteau works together with Alain Franco for the musical dramaturgy. On stage two dancers, Claire Croizé and Guilloteau himlself. As two is the minimum number of people to establish a relationship, and two is the maximum before it forms a group. They enter into a dialogue and move through space, words and music both together and separately. Their relationship acquires different forms and evokes different stories without actually becoming one. Nor do the words tell a concrete story, but reveal a trail that leaves room for the imagination.
