Het is echt waar! Dromen komen uit, verlangens worden vervuld: het Amerikaanse iconische avant-garde performance art-collectief The Residents heeft muziek geschreven voor Grace Ellen Barkey en Needcompany!

Hoe The Residents en Grace Ellen Barkey tot een samenwerking gekomen zijn, is een groot mysterie. Geen van hen wil daarover het exacte verhaal vertellen. The Residents beweren dat Grace hen heeft opgesloten in een kelder en hen alleen droog brood en water heeft gegeven tot ze de muziek geschreven hadden. Grace Ellen Barkey zegt erover: Ze sprongen gewoon op mijn schouders, hielden zich vast aan mijn haar en samen galoppeerden wij naar een andere dimensie. Stelt u zich voor: The Residents, the masters of weird, en Grace Ellen Barkey, the president of the movement against melancholia.

This is just the beginning of the worldwide conceived movement of acceptance of all fungi that were considered potentially dangerous.

In MUSH-ROOM bevinden we ons in een woud vol paddenstoelen. De paddenstoelen verenigen zich en komen in opstand…

We’re not kidding! Dreams do come true, wishes are fulfilled: the iconic avant-garde American performance art collective The Residents has written music for Grace Ellen Barkey and Needcompany! The Residents leapt onto her shoulders and grabbed hold of her unruly hair, and then they galloped off together into another dimension and danced a divine duet. Just imagine: The Residents, the masters of weird, and Grace Ellen Barkey, the president of the movement against melancholy.

This is just the beginning of the worldwide conceived movement of acceptance of all fungi that were considered potentially dangerous.

In MUSH-ROOM we find ourselves in a forest full of mushrooms. These mushrooms unite and rise in rebellion…
