Elke podium act is een verbeelding van de realiteit.
Collectivo 96° wil een stap verder gaan en een realiteit creëren waarbij alles een verbeelding is van het stuk zelf dat het publiek aanschouwt. ‘Doen alsof’ met de intentie een ironie te zijn van de verbeelding an sich.

Geen plot dat wordt doorspekt met autobiografische intermezzo’s van acteurs. Voor Collectivo 96° is theater een meer reële ervaring dan de realiteit zelf. Maar vergeet ook deze conventie en vergeet dat theater de geprivilegieerde biotoop is van leugens en onwaarheid. In Fingir (faking)wordt de contradictie realiteit/fictie uitvergroot en in een nieuw daglicht gesteld.

Every stage act is itself a representation of reality; we want to take it a step further by creating a level playing field where all are representations of the work itself that the viewer is watching. Pretending intended to be an irony about the action itself to represent.

We are primarily concerned to make evident the very act of deceit, fiction, both spectators and actors PRETEND that what is happening on stage is real. Falsehood, fiction, reality, truth … are some of the concepts that matter most to the new scene theater and its audience because in the current scene works very often autobiographical and line breaks with the idea of characters and plot. We are not interested in that new relationship / convention that has been built with the public now on the search because the theater is an experience more real than what is happenings actually happening live and forget that this is also another convention and even forget that theater has always been a lie, a privileged place where lying is natural. “FAKING” In all these contradictions make clear is what interests us.
